Website Strategies

After viewing the work of previous classes, it can be concluded there are various differences between an analytical hypertext and a personal one. Where the latter consists of personal voice and presence, the former deals with challenging the audience to create their own conclusions leading to their own opinions based on the information provided. Successful strategies I felt truly got the point across in an anlytical hypertext were the usage of facts and supporting information. Accomplished through the usage of videos, pictures, statistics, and quotes that explicitly conveyed the standpoint for the reader to view, analyze, and come to conclusions about on their own, such strategies made the analytical hypertext not only interesting, but worth analyzing to begin with. Some sites also paralleled the strategies of Schlosser by giving personal accounts and imposing the same pathos Schlosser provides in Fast Food Nation. In creating this hypertext, it is important to remember the audience, the facts, and the standpoints presented – all of which are crucial in any successful analytical hypertext.
