Yippies, FSM, Punk

2- Yippies, Free Speech Movement, and Punk are all forms of ideology that deal with the youth in a particular area. Yippies were a group of radical youth that were branches of the free speech movement and anti-war movement. They are a theatrical group of youth that used gestures such as employing a pig as a candidate for presidency. The free speech movement was a student protest taking place at UC Berkely. The man focus of this movement was to rebel against the administration that had placed a ban on on-campus political activities. The students combated this and fought for not only their academic freedom but also for free speech. Finally, the punk subculture emerged in Europe and had ideologies that dealt with individual freedom and anti-establishment. All three of these terms were examples of youth revolting against the establishment.
