Comic Life

I designed this comic to make fun of the changing social status regarding privacy and secrets. The two boys are talking and once the first boy tells his secret to the second boy, the second boy shouts it to a crowd of people on the beach. At first, the first boy is enraged that his friend would betray him like that and spread his secrets that he trusted him with. But once the second boy explains his rationale for shouting out the secret, the first boy realizes that his secret would be made public as soon as the security measures picked up on it. Instead of having privacy and being able to keep one's private life private, secrets are constantly let out, nothing can be hidden, and every aspect of everyone's lives are free for everyone. The second guy ends up thanking the first guy for exposing his secrets because he realizes that it's better to just tell the girl his feelings straight up and get them out in the open before she finds out indirectly from someone else. This comic shows the transfer of normality from having privacy to having no privacy in any aspect of life. The acceptance of this status quo begins spreading, but Marcus and his friends still refuse to accept the change of this norm.
