Emma Goldman

Marcus probably has a poster of Emma Goldman in his room because she played a strong role in forming the anarchist political views. She was jailed multiple times for rioting and fighting against government and forced violence, similar to waht Marcus is doing in San Francisco. Goldman was very free thinking and risked a lot of her own personal freedoms to stand up for the greater good and her beliefs. Marcus is acting in a similar fashion by putting himself, as well as others, in danger of capture by the government in order to fight against the intense and unnecesary security measures. She probably provides inspiration for him and keeps him motivated to fight back against the DHS. Anarcha-feminism believed struggling against the state and the feminist struggles went hand in hand. Currently, there is a lot of anarchy in San Francisco and Marcus is trying to redefine the ways of the government.
