Topic Proposal

One question that” Little Brother” raised for me was under what circumstances do peaceful actions become a forceful revolution? In the book, Marcus and his fellow X-netters engaged in a peaceful, yet forceful reaction to the DHS’s policies which had turned San Francisco into a police state. These actions were peaceful in that they did not directly result in the killing or injuring of DHS officials or supporters (at least as far as the book tells us), but they definitely constituted more than just simple protest. Though the X-netters weren’t physically harming anybody by jamming, for instance, they caused a lot of chaos and trouble which affected not only the DHS but also people who were just innocent bystanders. Just because an action does not physically harm someone does not make it peaceful, or justifiable.
