Comparing the firing of Ms. Galvez to Harry Potter
Ms. Galvez was considered a "good" teacher, one that the main character liked (good guy figure). The teacher that replaced her, Ms. Anderson, had her viewpoint set in the opinions of the "bad guys", views the main character didn't agree with. She sided with the government, not freedom. This is kind of parralel to Harry Potter and Dolores Umbridge. Umbridge replaced old "good teachers" in Hogwarts, eventually working her way to the top of the faculty. The thing was, she was more or less a spy for the Department of Ministry, kind of like the DHS. Her standpoint completely opposed Harry's, creating a conflict. Marcus hates Ms. Anderson in the same way Harry hates Umbridge. Both new teachers, in the main characters' eyes, are working for the very people the main characters are trying to fight/stop.
