My research focuses on how social media is being used to progress democracy. In this glog, I focus on the vast amount of people that social media caen target and how one individual's voice could possibly be heard by millions and millions of people through the internet. It also talks about how precarious social media is and how technologies such as this (that could potentially cause more good than harm) is used in for politics, oftentimes becoming venues for discourse and dissent. Various forms of social media is presented and the title depicts how social media is both a sign of the progression of democracy and is a game changer in the arena of politics.
