Skimming the Surface Activity

During highschool I used to definitely patchwrite a lot of my papers, and maybe paraphrase. I hardly summarized but at the same time I made an effort to never just exact copy the information. However, this year in college, I've switched my ways in a sense. My classes ask me to do more paraphrasing, and so I tend to paraphrase now. And while I still do a little patchwriting, its very rare now. At this time though, I don't think I've really truly summarized any writing. For the future, I definitely wish to be able to summarize the majority of the time, if not near all the time. Summarizing seems to be an exceptional skill, and it seems very helpful for me to learn something like that.
